Gentlemen,

I had Windows Live Toolbar 3 Beta and then I removed it. A small yellow shield tells me that there is an update for Windows Live Toolbar 3 Beta but the update will not install because the programme is not there.

How can I get ride of the yellow shield? I do not want Windows Live Toolbar 3 Beta and I am reluctant to turn off the automatic updates facility. How can I kill it?

Best wishes. whatapalaver.

Unless it is a big hassle to reinstall and accept the update, that will probably work. Then uninstall again. It is a beta product so maybe that is one of the updates. You could also do a file search and manually delete any reference to the tool bar.

Thank you Enthusiast and buddy215. I cannot remember how I removed Windows Live Toolbar 3 Beta. I think it was with add/remove. I believe that it is out of Beta so I may give it another whirl, but I don't really want it. Anyway, right now I'm struggling with an Adobe Photoshop problem so the yellow shield has to go into the pending tray. Thanks for your advice. I will follow it through when Adobe has been sorted.

Best wishes. whatapalaver
