Can't make out anything from the first image, funny......... good biger pic, was just about to say something about that.

WTF !

is it virus? malware? or what...

Dout it but looks like windows took a hit sadly, try and uninstall every driver with a problem then restart computer.

This will force windows to reinstall its drivers, sounds like the install is tost but we might be able to fix it.

Do it in safe mode too.

Warning try this trick at your own risk, it could kill windows.

Or wait for other ideas.

My self when i see that kind of thing im fast to do a reinstall.

By the way what have you tryed when it comes to getting the DVD drive working and i don't mean in windows.

Ps: old computers get full of crud, dousen't help if you smoke too arond your pc.

Good cleaning of everything with electronic cleaner helps, i use zippo gas sometimes for it too in a pinch and i wonder sometimes if brake cleaner would work decent too, you can get relly big cans of brake cleaner for cheap.

Was just thinking of my old days, when overclocking in win98 if your computer was unstable it would shred all data on all dives, probably something like that is what happened when your ram bugged

Ok try and remove/uninstall the dvd on your problem computer in safe mode and see what happens after a restart, as well why do you have a fake software CD drive mounted ?

You know how to use safe mode right ?

I would not do anything drastic yet.

System manufacturer and model?

Can you boot into safe mode with networking? Or simply safe mode?

Louis
