Hey guys looking for some help. Could you tell me if there is noticeable difference between a laptop with 4GB RAM Intel N3050 1,6GHz processor vs a 8GB RAM Intel core i3-6100U 2.3GHz processor ?

Thanks.

Oh nice. Thought so. How would a 2.9 GHz AMD A9-9410 compare to the 2.3GHz i3-6100U ?

In terms of simple computing?  Gaming? Surfing?

What do you do on a system....that demands weighing the pros/cons of System1 to System2?

Hey Louis. Just basic surfing and video watching. Have a bad habit of having multiple windows open at once. My 1.6GHz is lagging.

Bla you have the ram on your laptop but windows 10 is a resource pig besides the other not so nice things about it, if your not trying to game on it Id just put Linux mint on their and it be problem solved performance wise.

I have Linux mint on my 1700mgz centrino cpu 1gig ram laptop and everything runs pro.

As for the other topic yes the newer Intel or AMD systems will stomp on the laptop your using at the moment.

Ya maybe i'll look into that. What would you choose between the 2.9 GHz AMD A9-9410 and the 2.3GHz i3-6100U ?  They are both Acer and both $500 CAD.

Hard to say from some quick research, my self though i don't like Intel GPUs bet ya it sucks at openGL and their drivers blow too, AMD owns ATI Video hardware, really hard pick ...my self probably go with AMD mostly for the graphic hardware.
