I am creating a linux distro specifically for one program and only one program to run at the most optimal performance. I do not want a desktop environment. I only want a gui to be present when running the program. How would I go about making this program (or making the operating system only run that program with no desktop environment but a graphical interface when using the program)?

I've moved this topic from Programming to Linux and Unix. It sounds like you are wanting to run an existing application.

1) How are you "creating" the Linux distro?

2) What application/program are you wanting to run?

This thread is basically a duplicate of Is it possible to run gui programs on debian with no desktop environment?

That's a good point.

TOMIS13LACK, please provide as much information as you can about what you are wanting to do, in your other topic.

I'll close this topic to avoid confusion.
