I am unable to launch Windows update from Settings panel in Windows 10 Home. My product is activated, and I have been using it for quite some time now, but I have never been able to get any updates.

I have attached a screenshot of what I see when trying to open the Windows Update tab. The blue dots never stop loading.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using Norton Security Suite through Xfinity.

I have made sure the service for Windows Update is running, and I have already ran the troubleshooter for fixing Windows Update, with no errors found.

Are you sure you're not getting updates? Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > View Installed Updates, just to make sure. If you are really not getting any updates then I would try downloading the latest cumulative Windows 10 update directly from Microsoft. You might have to do a couple of those depending on how far back your current version is.

Thanks for the reply bobjimmy123.

I verified that I was not getting any of the updates by viewing installed updates like you recommended.

I am now downloading the latest cumulative Windows 10 update from the update catalog. I will see how that works out.

Got this error message after opening the standalone cumulative update installer I downloaded.

windows10.0-kb3206632-x64_b2e20b7e1aa65288007de21e88cd21c3ffb05110.msu

Is the file I downloaded. I am running Windows 10 x64 so I know it is for the right OS.
