I am currently staying over in a hotel that has free and open wifi. I connected my laptop which I already have a vpn enabled. But while i was playing minecraft on the laptop. The laptop recieved a black screen and restarted and I noticed Norton giving an alert to check for virus but it did not see any viruses. Same with Avast. Could a virus possibly have passed through my vpn or am I just paranoid?

Update: I noticed that after booting up my pc, Norton antivirus disappears from my notification tray and checking into task manager there is one ns.exe under the SYSTEM name in comparison to having the .exe under both SYSTEM and "andre". Once this occurs Norton will not be able to open until I reboot the PC

Recently uninstalled both Secureline and Avast as it seemed to have fixed Norton from disappearing, due to possible conflict
