I have a direct parallel connection set up between two desktops, one running Windows XP home, one running windows xp pro. I followed all the directions i was given, and i have a connection. I've even gone to my folders and did all of the sharing steps, but when I get to my network places, the computer doesn't show up. When I search for the computer, it doesn't show up. I don't know what I did wrong; I have done this before and it worked, so I don't understand why it's not working now.

I went to Microsoft's website and looked on how to set up a new network place; it is asking for the internet or network address; one of the 'hints' i get is \\server\share...where do i find the server and where do i find the share? And why can't I see all the computers in my workgroup? They are the same....

I know, it's a lot of questions, but I'm frustrated and can't figure it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
