Hello Folks:

As this is my first post, just joined today, please bear with me. I actually was brought o to the "Bleeping" site due to a whole mess of malware, trojan, and rootkit issues on a Dell XPS400 desktop. Once I got it goin found other issues so here goes.

The first one is an issue with the video controller. Device Mgr. has a code 28. No drivers. The monitor is also a Dell model # E193FPc. I can find it no where on the Dell Product  pages. Says it does not exist. I don't know alot about the monitor end of the system. From what I read the controller is connection at the back of the tower and the cable. I started the online search for the driver and it won't stop. I cannot exit the update. I found this issue cause the screen settings looked messed up, and they were. Can't seem to get em right either.

The OS is Windows 8.1 Pro, My first experience with it, and hopefully my last. I'm kinda thinking it has something to do with all the viruses it had, but  not sure. Could it or does have anything to do with the video card??

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

Go to Piriform's website, and download the free version on the left.  Click Download from Piriform.com (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.

After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.

Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course):

post-33068-0-86653600-1480692866_thumb.j

Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot.

Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard

Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the ADD REPLY or REPLY TO THIS TOPIC button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Add Reply below the Reply box.

Thanks for the reply hamluis.

I just updated to win10 so if you can give some to get it set up I'll see if I can get the instructions done today.

Again, thanks and I'll be in touch. I'm actually sending this from a laptop while the other finishes

I hope I did this right when it comes to the pasting the MBT.txt. If not let me know.

FYI for ya though, don't know if it makes a difference but my particular monitor is no where to be found on Dells support site. Says it don't exist. Got a kick outta that one. Like I said, if I missed or did something wrong let me know. Still learning this end of it.

Thanks

UPDATE;

After hours of diagnosing this problem, I learned the drivers were not installed because they are not compatible with Windows 10.

The description is:: RADEON X300 SE 128MB HyperMemory Secondary. I guess I will start huntin for a compatible one, should'nt be to hard. Seen alot of post about this. But suggestions would be appreciated.

Have a good day everyone
