Yesterday, I clean installed windows 7 over windows 10. There was a weird chkdsk that deleted several files but everything was installed properly.

Today I used the windows media creation tool to upgrade back to windows 10 as advised by the Microsoft tech. Everything was fine, it's installing and then asked for a product key but I chose the option that I'm reinstalling windows 10.

It began checking for updates but then that's it. It's been 0% for like 3 hours now. My internet is okay because I'm browsing right now using the same device.

I'm not quite sure how to proceed. Can I stop this installation and restart?

Aw nevermind, I found something in another forum. Whew it's hard fixing this, I had a restore image from windows 7 but not when I installed windows 10. Lesson learned.
