does the usb card work ok when installed?

does problem go when you remove the card? if so, check your motherboard can support it, and check any drivers required for it have installed ok.

Startup and shutdown problems are usually caused by hardware conflicts. The new USB card is suspect.

Look in your device manager and delete anything that has a yellow or red warning icon. You will probably find one in your universal host controllers in your USB section.
Delete it, reboot and let windows reinstall it.

I just checked my Device Manager and there is nothing wrong there.

Some people are saying to upgrade my BIOS.

The Manufature is ASUS an dthe model of the motherboard is CUV4X-C.

I can't find a update for my motherboard.
