I have a laptop with win 7 installed, that was having BSOD without knowing what it is. I ran a REALLY BIG LIST of antivirus, antimalware etc (including: Malwarebytes Antimalware, Ccleaner, Superantispyware, ComboFix, Adwcleaner, Junkware RemovalTool, HitmanPro, Spyhunter) and although all of them found things and got them sweeped, BSOD never stopped coming. So I decided to do aformat and clean win7 installation. Immediately after the installation was completed, BSOD appeared. I installed speedfan and realtemp to check the temperatures which was at about 70 Celsius the moment the system was crashing. I disassemblied the laptop completely and cleaned the fan and put new glue on the cpu and gpu, after that BSOD was there smiling at me.

Most of the times there are 2 occasions when BSOD appears:1)Exatcly when I enter Win7 OS , and 2) when I run firefox with a lot of tabs AND windows running (especially videos). This happens ALSO in Safe Mode.

I just checked for new GPU drivers and installed the latest ones, to no avail.

I forgot to say that i took out the HDD, attached it to my PC and ran a CHKDISK that came with no problems.

Anything else I can do?

a couple of notes.

There are 2 memory modules installed , so I tried to see if it's a case of bad memory chip (although I performed software checks), so i left first the 2GB module on, and then the 1GB. On both occasions the laptop kept giving BSOD, in fact I think it emerged quicker when I had the 2GB module, and even more quick when I had the 1GB module. The last 5-8 BSOD were with 1 of 2 memory chipsets installed.

Edited to add the following.

Please don't run scans which have not been requested or repeat scans without being requested

============================================================================

I only speak or read English, for this reason most of the MiniToolBox is meaningless for me.

Where did you get the installation media you used to reinstall Windows 7?

You need to install Service Pack 1, I would make this a priority.

I see you have Home Defender enabled but don't have an antivirus installed.  I hope you are not of the impression that Home Defender in Windows 7 is an antivirus, it is a antimalware.  You need to install an antivirus.

The bug check code 0x00000124 is indicative of a hardware failure.  This could also be caused by a graphics driver.

Please boot into Safe Mode with Networking (after you have installed an antivirus) and see if the problem persists.

To check the RAM you should run Memtest86.  Follow the instructions below to do this.

1)  Please download the Memtest86 Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO file.

2)  Unzip the downloaded memtest86 file.  You will need a program like 7-Zip to unzip this file.

3) Intructions for using the 7-Zip can be see in the video below.

4)  Inside, you will find the memtest86 file.

5)  Place a blank CD or DVD in the tray of your optical drive and close the tray.

6)  After you have downloaded the ISO image you want to burn right click on the Start orb, then choose Windows Explorer.

7)  When Explorer opens click on Downloads in the left pane.  Scroll down till you find the ISO file you want and double click on it.  Click on Burn Disk Image.

8)  In the image below you will see Disk burner:, this should be set to the optical drive you want to use.  Click on Verify disc after burning if you want to Windows to verity the disc image after burn.  Click on burn.

burndiskimage1_zpsb502b181.png

9)  In the image below you can see that the green progress bar, when the image is finished burning the bar will be filled.

burndiskimage2_zps17a9d6ff.png

10)  After the image has completed being burned click on Close

11) Once the CD is created, boot from it, and memtest will automatically start to run.

Please note:  It may be neccessary to change the boot order in the BIOS so the CD/DVD-ROM is the first device in the boot order and the hdd second.

Each pass consists of 8 tests, it is suggested that you run at least 7 passes, this will take several hours, you may find it simpler to let it run overnight.  The longer you run the passes the more comprehensive the results will be.

If you are running multiple modules and have a failure, remove all but one module and test it separately, continue this with each module till you find the one that failed.

When you discern that a module is good, use it to test each slot to be sure there isn't a problem with one of them.

When the test is complete a display similar to the one below will appear.  Note the locations of the Pass and Errors, any Error is indicative of a failed module.

Windows 7 are in GREEK, not much we can do about that.

Since it's a completely clean installation on a formated HDD, which gave the BSOD, I thought that installing an AV program is not priority number 1, especially after the BSOD worsened.

I believe I already said that I did booted in safe mode, and the problem persisted.

As for memtest86 I DID run it making a boot CD, 2 full circles to be exact, and it gave zero problems.

The bug code that I posted implies that the problem is not with Windows.

You still have not answered my questions, what installation media did you use (disc or USB flash drive)?  Did this come with the computer?  If this media did not come with the computer where did you acquire it?

Are you going to install SP1 anytime soon?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

The windows 7 I just installed is a different copy than the one was installed previouslyour but both had the bsod and BOTH ARE NOT GRNUINE. The one I installed is from a dvd
I will try to install sp1 as soon as I can but it'seems becoming more and more difficult to work without crashing

You must install the same version of Windows that it came with.  The product code is only for the version which was originally installed.

BOTH ARE NOT GRNUINE

Are you telling me that the copy of Windows 7 you used is not a legal copy?

Let's see if I have this right.  You used a installation disc that was for another OEM computer to install Windows 7 on this computer?

If this is the case you will need to go to the manufacturer's website for the computer you are using and download the drivers, all of them, from that site.  Different models will use different drivers, different manufacturers will have different drivers.

Yes.  As I posted earlier, bad drivers can cause the GSOD as well as bad hardware.

What is the make and model of this computer?
