I recently bought a custom laptop from XoticPC; my experience with their business aside I am now having problems with the laptop I purchased (gigabyte P55)
After gaming for about 1-4 hours the PC crashes to a black screen leaving power on but no input capabilities; the PC must then be manually powered off and back on.
Here is a list of test I have run with results;
Who Crashed?: Crash dumps are enabled but no valid crash dumps have been found.
Prime95: When attempting to run In-Large FFT PC instantly crashed; when attempting to run "Blend" PC ran for approximately 30 seconds and crashed. -- *Same visual from Crash as experienced while gaming; no audible sound prior to or during crash*
MiniToolBox: Googledrive link for "MBT.txt" file *no IP info included* https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1vqHGQu6_2lVEdraGtMbzJHYUE/view?usp=sharing
Thanks for the assistance... this investment has been one big pain in the ass after another; hopefully you all can help shed some light on my problem before I get back on the phone with XoticPC's people.
I turned the MSI Afterburner Overclocking of Core Clock and Memory Clock to +0 - no overclocking (least thats what i'd think)...These were preset by XoticPC when they build and "stress tested" the laptop.
After the adjustment I received the following results from Prime95:
Small FFTs: Ran 2 minutes no errors/warnings ::: Positive Change over previous attempt with overclock on
Blend: Ran 2 minutes no errors/warnings ::: Positive Change over previous attempt with overclock on
In-Place Large FFTs: Crashed after approximnately 2 seconds
