Hi, I am a new member of this group so hello everybody,

I have an old Toshiba tecra running xp that was giving problems so I did a factory reset.I am having a bit of a problem getting a stable internet connection. This unit is not WiFi capable so i am using a cord for connection to my westnet WiFi router. Any  suggestions?

I'm not sure I understand. The computer came with XP and you did a factory reset. Your post says Vista. Is Vista or XP currently on the computer?

Is there a model number for the Tecra?
