Hi All,

Recently I've made a clean windows 10 installation to an ASUS N551J laptop because of multiple BSODs. But I still get these BSODs so I really need some help to find the problem causing this driver issue.

I've installed all the drivers from ASUS website, there are no missing or bad drivers in Device Manager.

Please find attached the dump files after the reinstall. The ones from 28/11/2016 are after I start the verifier, 5 min after every restart I got an BSOD.

Here is a directx report for the laptop:

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 14393) (14393.rs1_release_inmarket.161102-0100)

      System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
             System Model: N551JX

Page File: 2668MB used, 16036MB available

Please run this report collecting tool so that we can provide a complete analysis: (from the pinned topic at the top of the forum)   http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/
FYI - I don't often use the Perfmon report, so if it doesn't work please just let me know.
NOTE:  On problem systems it can take up to 20 minutes for the log files to complete.  Please be patient and let it run.

If you still have problems with it running, there's an alternate tool here (direct download link):  https://github.com/blueelvis/BSOD-Inspector/releases/download/1.0.5/BSODInspector-1.0.5.exe

NOTE:
Please zip up the (.ZIP) files - do not use .RAR or other compression utilities.
.ZIP is the type file that can be uploaded to the forums.

The last 3 verifier enabled bugchecks blame wdfsd.sys - a WebDrive file system driver ( http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=wdfsd.sys )

I'd suggest uninstalling that in order to test it.

Turn off Driver Verifier also.  If you're not having BSOD's w/o it, then you don't need to run it (it may give false errors).

Hi usasma,

Thank you very much for your response.

Please find attached the results from Sysnative BSOD dump and BSOD Inspector. The permon didn't worked, stayed open for 40 min and no report...

In the meantime I've install new drivers for nvidia and intel graphic cards, also reinstall the chipset drivers. I didn't had any BSOD in the last days and now I will return the laptop to the user who will use it for AutoCAD drawings and see if he will get any BSODs.

Thank you again,

Gabriel

Your UEFI/BIOS (version N551JX.207) dates from 2015.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  This is just in case there has been a more recent update.
FYI - W8 and W10 communicate more with the UEFI/BIOS than previous versions of Windows, so it's important to ensure that the UEFI/BIOS is kept up to date (and that outdated UEFI/BIOS' may be the cause of some compatibility issues).

Although you appear to have a reasonable number of Windows Update hotfixes for this version of your OS, please double check for any new Windows Updates.  It only takes one update to cause a problem, so it's essential that you have all of them.  The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

You have 3 hard drives.  What is the make/model/wattage and age of your Power Supply?

Hi,

Yesterday it happened again so the Windows updates and new GPU driver didn't solved this issue. Please find here the last minidump. I really don't know what to do more, probably you can find something fishy in the logs.

The BIOS is the last version from ASUS website so they didn't worked to update it.

Also, Windows updates are all installed.

There are only two hard drives, one Kingston SSD 128GB, made specially for this ASUS laptop model and 1TB Samsung partitioned in two.

The charger is the original one from ASUS PA-1121-28: output: 120 Watt - 6,3A / 19V - input : 100-240V / 50-60 Hz

Thank you very much for helping me with this.

Regards,

Gabriel

wdfsd.sys is still present in the memory dump.

DId you uninstall it as I requested?

This memory dump blames nVidia video, but as the wdfsd.sys driver is still present, I have to wonder about that.
