I was given an older Nook HD+ for my birthday this summer, and just now it is giving me problems with charging, simply put, it wont charge, period. No amber light, no green light, nothing; Last time I did this I had to do a full factory reset and that screwed everything up on it.

Hoew do I fix this thing to charge up ? It is at 35% battery and slowly draining; there's no light coming on, Amber or Green, got it plugged into the Barnes and Nobel charger cored and everything, it either is dead due to age {NOOK HD+ apparently cant use anything newer than Android version 2.2.2; which this has}

How do I fix this ? Do I take it somewhere ? Shut it off completely with it plugged in ?
