XP file sharing

This should be easy for some of you.

I am trying to allow a user (via networking) complete access once they are in a shared folder so that they can go into the sub-directories of that folder as well, not just the shared folder.

Can anyone help?
I've had to keep sharing sub folders as well, it's really quite annoying, thank you.

You assign at the top and let the rights flow down to the sub dirs via inheritance.  Sounds like you are unchecking the inheritance box
