Hi i am having a problem getting my computer to boot, I am so confused. I was on the internet and suddenly the computer started to tick and it froze. I shut the computer down and that was that, never to boot again. I tried F8 but I just got windows boot manager and that would just go off and on repeatedly, I then downloaded a  windows 7 startup onto my flash drive and tried to see if it would install to my computer and this was when I got the..Strike F1 to retry to boot. Can anyone help me with this proble plz?

Worth a look, http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN115162/en .

I normally associate any ticking sound from a computer system...as indicative of a hard drive or (possibly) a fan problem.
