Hi,

Is there possible way to enable the "Update and Shutdown" in Windows 8.1 like in Windows 7?

Thank you!

Hi,

Have hunted around cant find a way of making the option available via the GUI but running this command from a command prompt seems to do the business when updates are due:-

  • shutdown.exe /s /t 0

Let me know if it works.

Thanks

Steve

You don't need to enable that option Windows will install updates either when you shutdown your system or at next boot time.
