Hello,

I've got a custom built PC and after a processor and video card upgrade it now freezes and restarts when playing games like Battlefield 1 and GTA5.

Here are my specs:

Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83GHz

RAM: 16,0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz

MOBO: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5E64 WS EVOLUTION (LGA775)

GPU: Sapphire ATI Radeon RX 480 Nitro+ 8GB

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

PSU: Corsair CX750

I can play the games for a half an hour to a few hours and then it may freeze and restart. I don't get any blue screen, it goes black/dark greyish, the sound just gets stuck and after a few seconds the PC restarts itself.

I attached the DMP files. There are three of them from diferent dates.

One more thing; I forgot to uninstall the video card drivers after I installed the new card into my PC. I then booted the PC, and uninstalled the then 'old' drivers. I installed the drivers for the new card after that, but it didn't succeed. So I used the AMD 'clean uninstall utility' to remove all the old drivers. It said it succeeded, so I installed the new drivers without error. I'm still worried there might be some traces of old video card drivers left, but am unsure how to clean it up.

Thanks, regards, R

To provide a complete analysis, we'll need more than just the memory dumps.

Please run this report collecting tool so that we can provide a complete analysis: (from the pinned topic at the top of the forum)   http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/
FYI - I don't often use the Perfmon report, so if it doesn't work please just let me know.
NOTE:  On problem systems it can take up to 20 minutes for the log files to complete.  Please be patient and let it run.

If you still have problems with it running, there's an alternate tool here (direct download link):  https://github.com/blueelvis/BSOD-Inspector/releases/download/1.0.5/BSODInspector-1.0.5.exe

NOTE:
Please zip up the (.ZIP) files - do not use .RAR or other compression utilities.
.ZIP is the type file that can be uploaded to the forums.

Your UEFI/BIOS (version 0802) dates from 2008.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  If you are able to install the update through Windows (without booting from an external drive), then go ahead and update it.  WARNING - if the computer might shut down during this procedure, please don't do it, as this may physically damage the computer and prevent it from booting.
FYI - W8 and W10 communicate more with the UEFI/BIOS than previous versions of Windows, so it's important to ensure that the UEFI/BIOS is kept up to date (and that outdated UEFI/BIOS' may be the cause of some compatibility issues).
I am very concerned that this system may not be compatible with W10 due to the age of the BIOS/motherboard. Unfortunately, the test for this sort of incompatibility is to install the original operating system and see if the problems go away.

All of the memory dumps are STOP 0x124 errors (more info on them here:  http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html#0x00000124 )

Most often these are hardware/compatibility/low-level driver errors.

Start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Please finish ALL of the diagnostics and let us know the results.
