I'm looking to upgrade my cpu to an intel core i7-2600, but I can't seem to find any information on if it would be compatible with the Dell 0GDG8Y motherboard. The CPU has an 1155 LGA socket and is listed as a Sandy-Bridge processor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Bridge). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes the Dell 0GDG8Y has a LGA 1155 socket and the I7-2600 which is a Sandy-Bridge processor would be compatible.

Your mobo came often with an I3-2120, which is also a LGA 1155 and a Sandy-Bridge processor.

What is your current CPU?

Unless you get that 2600K very cheaply, I don't recommend that upgrade. You already have quad core part.

intel i5-2320

Considering the cost of the 2600k is about 250$ (same for the i7-2600 without the K), i would really not suggest to change your i5-2320 for the 2600k unless you're totally indifferent to that amount of money. And also if it's the same for you to spend or not spend that money, i would actually get the i7-2700K, which currently is being sold for the exact same price.

I've actually found some I5-2550K for 180-190$ but still, if the price is compared with the difference in performances, it's not worth.

Maybe you could consider changing also the mobo into something different, unless that cause you too much trouble with the other components.
