Win 10 upgrade on Dell Optiplex desktop suddenly looping Preparing Automatic Repair then flashes to

"Attempted Write To Readonly Memory" or  "Page Fault in Nonpaged Area". What Failed: WimFSF.sys   I've tried to get it to boot options so I can go to Safe Mode but it always loads Preparing Automatic Repair. Several forums say the WimFsf.sys is a Symantec file, but I know there were no Symantec products installed. I reaseacrched BSOD logs at top of the foump but I don't know how to get the DUMP files if I can't get a cmd line. Please Help!

Start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/initdiag.html

The WimFSF.sys driver is a Windows driver - not a Norton driver.

The Windows driver is most likely related to your file system - so the hard drive is suspect here.

Have you run the built in Dell diagnostics?

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
