Please execute my batch script as a administrator and try installing the update again. The download link for my batch script is below.

Ran script and uninstalled, then reinstalled updates, but it did not remove Mrt.Is there a way to delete it and then update it again or should I wait for next round of updates. The tool is present, but it is not showing up in update history it just states that it failed to install. One thing I noticed is that it no longer scans during updates.Does it still scan,or has the policy changed? I have a good security setup so this is more about curiosity.

When you check for Windows updates does the update for MRT tool show up and if it does does it install or not?

Its definitely installed. The question is why is it showing not installed. Also is it still supposed to run on updates or does periodic scanning replace it?

Its Windows log history showing not installed it should also show installed but this is not issue as long as same Windows update is not been offered you can uninstall and if you want install any update from Control Panel --> Program and Features --> View install updates.

You can run Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool manually if you prefer by typing MRT into  Start Menu or Run dialog box.
