Viewing a video or movie falters intermittently - no sound and the picture gets heavily chopped up or gets covered with grey screen, but it then regains itself and continues to play until the next one. Each time this lasts from 5 to 8 seconds, but sometimes up to 20 seconds before coming back.

Used to usually crash, but lately it has stabilised somewhat. The behaviour is same on VLC Player, Windows Media Player and also the Movies & TV App.

Device Manager/Sound/Game Controller using High Definition Audio Device and Intel Display Audio. All drivers up to date.

Does not react to Power Settings for Sleep and Hibernate (goes to sleep, but unable to get back).

General Boot and Access time about 3 min. 30 secs.

System about 6 weeks young with latest updates and drivers.

Any ideas how to fix this very irritating behaviour?
