hello. I am new to bleepin computer . Would like to ask what surely is a dumb question. About 2 years ago I was given a new Dell Inspiron 15, 7000 series for my birthday. There was no paperwork with it and nothing I can find in the online manual or at Dell.com explains to  me what the ports are for.  On the left  side is a card reader and a port I think is for headphones. then there are 4 ports, one of which is HMDI which I understand is to use to plug laptop into t.v.  On the other side is the round power cord plug in and two ports which look like usb ports. I found a description of the laptop which says it has only one usb port on the right side. What is the other?

What happened to these pictures of computers with arrows pointing to different features? Can't find one for this particular computer.

As you can see, I am a newbi and not very knowledgeable.

I just joined and received a note saying "come in and say hello" but I can't find a place to say "hello".

thanks a bunch
