Hello! I have a Windows 8.1 machine that has some pretty massive specs that continues to have random moments of 'lock up' - where the system hangs for anywhere from 5-150 seconds before proceeding. Task Manager shows that COM Surrogate is the culprit, but I have not been able to directly locate exactly where the issue is. On other OS boots (i.e. Linux Mint), the system runs without issue.

The system has had FRST run, and I'm looking for a fix file to repair this. I've seen other forums focused on this, but nothing noted it to be Windows 8.1, so I wanted to ask for a new fix to be safe. FRST.txt and Addition.txt attached.

In case it's needed, running Avira for Anti-Virus.

Thank you in advance!

Run FRST and click Fix only once and wait.

Restart the computer normally to reset the registry.

The tool will create a log (Fixlog.txt) please post it to your reply.

Please let me know what problem persists with this computer.
