Can I run an 10xx nvidia video card with a motherboard with PCI-E 2.0?

My PC use a Gigabyte 970A-DS3P which is an ATX motherboard with PCI-E 2.0


So, I need to know if I still can run (for example) a GTX 1060 on it and if I will have problems with bottlenecks or something like that

Simply put: you can and no bottlenecks.

Yes, it is backwards compatible. The performance difference is negligible.
