Have to switch off wifi and switch on wifi to make it work?

Hello. I have a Dell E6400 Core 2 Duo laptop that for whatever reason, when the computer is powered on or awoken from sleep, you need to slide the wifi switch to the off position, and back on again to make it connect to wifi. This is the only computer I have that does this. Do you think it's a wifi card problem, driver problem, or both?

Check to see in Device Manager / Network Adapters / Wifi Adapter / Power Management

That its unchecked for " Allow this computer to turn off device to save power "
