Hi there, nice to meet you, my name is Jason.

I have discovered that when I install klite mega codec pack (12.4.4) on to any of my computers and then check the file system with gparted, gparted warns me that the file system is unreadable and corrupted(the big red exclamation mark). When I uninstall klite mega codec pack the exclamation mark disappears.

If anyone has any ideas why this is happening I would be grateful for your input. I now do not install klite anymore.

I have discovered this anomaly more than once on various computer set ups which helped me come to the conclusion that Klite mega codec pack is corrupted and should not be used. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Try the latest one from here and see if same issue occurs.

Otherwise try an earlier version.

Thank you havachat. No ideas why it could be happening? I have been using klite for many years and only just discovered what was happening when running a live edition of ubuntu. I do hope it is only on the 12.4.4 version. I will try what you suggest and get back to you. Thanks for your help so far :)

Glad it worked out ok , i to have been using KLite for years also and never had any problems , although i dont jump to newer versions for the sake of it , if it works ok on a current version then it suits my purpose.

If an update is available and it fails - { nothings perfect }, you can always revert back to a previous working version.
