I need to upgrade my CPU but idk what to choose.

Processor: AMD FX™-6300 Six-Core Processor, AMD64 Family 21 Model 2 Stepping 0
Processor Count: 6
RAM: 8174 Mb
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon ™ R9 200 Series, -2048 Mb
Hard Drives: C: Total - 953766 MB, Free - 858719 MB;
Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC., M5A78L-M/USB3

 

These are my specs. My budget is like $300 but preferably around 200, I mainly want it for gaming performance so can you guys like recommend a good cpu for me please? :o

Better to upgrade GPU. FX-8350 would be too small upgrade to recommend.

On second thought your GPU cannot be worse than R9 270 (might be better but R9 270 is worst from R9 200 series and it's not too bad) so I recommend you spare money now and make bigger upgrade in future. With just $300 you cannot make decent upgrade from what you already have.

Get a used (with care) GTX 960, or better a GTX 1060 or RX470.
