I've got Google Voice on my laptop and have just added Google Voice to my Samsung Galaxy J7. As opposed to the version on my pc, there is no provision in the phone app for deleting messages, either individually or all at once. With the pc version there is a column of check boxes along the left edge that allows you to delete either one or all of the messages on the screen. The phone app does not have this. Am I missing something? How do I clear messages? Thanks.

If you hold your finger on the message do any options show up that would allow deleting? I think you should be able to do that to delete them one at a time. I am not so sure if you can batch delete.

Brilliant! It works by pressing and holding over the message as you suggested. Thanks. Took a while. The log builds up rapidly. I'll have to stay on top of it. Thanks again. Problem solved.

Me too. I certainly will. I don't use Google Voice that often, just to text phones when I don't know the email address. Every text received/sent via Gmail also leaves a copy with Google Voice, whether originally sent from Gmail or from Google Voice. While I immediately delete messages in Gmail after being read, I didn't realize they were not automatically deleted in Voice and spent quite a while deleting them one at a time from the phone.

The only way I've found to "mass" delete messages from Voice involves also having it on my laptop where there's a "mass" delete check box. However, "mass" is in quotes because there's a caveat. When you check the master box at the top left, you can only mass delete those that appear on the current screen. If I don't keep up with it, it can take a surprising number of screens to delete, one at a time.

Thanks for solving my problem with deleting them from the phone. I wanted to be able to do it from the phone without having to involve the laptop.
