Has Microsoft released Service Pack 3 yet? I thought it was going to be delayed until Vista was released although I've heard there are preview packs available, somewhere.

The XP sp3 is an "unofficial realease" and as such i would wait until Microsoft decide when /if they wish to go ahead with this.
If it does happen then the news will be in the public domain and would probably come in the form of an automatic update.
