As explained to my one friend:
I plug it in (cuz it never shuts off on its own), the fan half-starts, comp beeps THREE times, and it shuts off. This repeats a few times.. Once it DOES start, it hangs on DMI pool data for a good 30seconds to full minute
He blames it on corrupt power supply..
Generally during my increasingly shortening online time, a page or two or three will freeze. The computer rarely will reboot. When it does, it'll allow me to do Control+Alt+ Delete to shut down the page. Then reboot, and it'll start up with ONE beep, then hangs at the DMI Pool Data.
However, when it decides to not allow me to shut down the pages, I'll try rebooting which the pop up box "Program not responding" comes up. Sometimes I'll click "Wait", other times "Cancel", usually "End now" (believe those are the buttons at least). No matter which I click, it still doesn't reboot so I unplug.. Now, upon plugging it back IN.. half the time it does ONE beep, other times it'll do THREE as if it's overheating or something and shut off. It generally takes 2-5 tries and occassionally a smack or two to get it to reboot again.
I've recently installed: Nothing
I've recently installed: No new drives
Prior to these issues getting HORRID: Ive installed no new programs
This is my: Third new harddrive in this tower
Old harddrives: Had corrupted, all backup files are now on the slave disk
