When I game for a few minutes I'll get a checkerboard pattern covering the screen. It persists even after I exit the game:

Until I reboot the PC.

My setup:

i5-3450 cpu @ 3.10GHz

Win7 64bit SP1
16GB DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte H77-D3H-MVP motherboard
4072MB R9-280X
Superflower HX600 80plus Gold PSU
2 fans: 1 Yate Loon, 1 Deepcool Gammaxx 300

I appreciate any help I can get

mate download DDU and this will remove all old and new drivers for your AMD card then reinstall the drivers and see what that does otherwise it looks like a firmware issue on the card its self mate. This may be caused by heating.
