Hi,
I have been working with Buddy???, [Topic located here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/628389/acer-aspire-model-zd1-5920-0914-bad-keyboard-malware-or-infection/ referred to this forum. I am deleting all the logs posted as replies as they are in the AII topic and because this forum doesn't deal with infections. ~ OB] anyway he has sent me to one of you lucky People, LOL!!!!!
I have several scan results you can look at under my work with him or if preferred i can resubmit it all & let the Lucky Person do their magic leading to telling me what to do next.  If you are brave & love a Challenge Please contact me. The computer started acting like this after it was in to have cd fixed & I WONDERED if by chance one of these extra keys got pressed & causing some of the problem. If you have or know how the keyboard on this Acer Aspire series: 5920-0914, Model: ZD1, made 07/2012.
I will be waiting for a Response.  If i'm lucky it'l be fixed by my bday "HALLOWEEN", i kid you not!!!!
Awaiting,
:cowgirl:  :cowgirl:  :halloween:  :halloween:  :rip:  :indian:  :axe:  :alien:

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

Go to Piriform's website, and download the free version on the left.  Click Download from Piriform.com (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.

After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.

Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course): p22004369.gif

Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot. You will see the following prompt:

p22004371.gif

Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard

p22004372.gif

Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the p22004370.gif button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Add Reply below the Reply box.

Please do follow the advice hamluis follows,

Although personal experience i have had a few of these come in with defective keyboards in the past...

Seeing your last topic you have windows 7

For now you could use the on screen keyboard by going to start > all programs > accesories > accessability > on-screen keyboard

An option is to  at least use a USB keyboard for the time being...

Replacement keyboards might also work...

For the rest please follow Hamluis's post so we can help you more ;)

Regards

For a laptop model dating to 2007...I think that a hands-on would be best for any attempt to diagnose what may be wrong.  Age does not improve system performance and problems on laptops...a hands-on stands a better chance of being on the mark, IMO.

Louis,
Thanks so much for your opinion. I really appreciate it. Would it be disrespectful to ask one of the others for a second opinion. I'm a Registered Nurse and we always get 2-3 opinions before we make a decision. Which tends to be the best way of managing a problem. I'm so sorry just got back to your response, been having personal issues to deal with. So please forgive me.
Thanks,
CandyGirl1959
