Hello MLT and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I do not see any signs of viruses or malware in the log. It is clean.

I do see that there are 3 anti-spyware programs running. This can cause problems because they are all trying to do the same thing and can conflict with and block each other. Of the 3 (Microsoft Anti-Spyware, Webroot SpySweeper and Ewido), disable 2 of them so they do not automatically startup at system boot. You can leave them installed if you want to occasionally update and run a scan with them, or, if you are not going to use them then simply uninstall them.

Another good maintenance process to run is cleaning up the temporary folders (I do this once a week). Follow the directions below:

Download and install ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
If you use Firefox browser
  • Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
  • NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
If you use Opera browser
  • Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
  • NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

Other than that things look pretty good. If you are still enountering performance issues then I would suggest posting a question in the XP forum and have them check things out a little deeper. Let them know that you have been to this forum and that no malware was found.

Cheers.
