Hello People.

I was wondering if there was anything to gain,if you installed a codec pack in VLC(regarding audio quality) :notme:

VLC has everything it needs "built-in", where did you find that codec pack for VLC?

You can change playback (audio/video) in the settings which will alter the quality (or make it non working)...

Greets!

Ah OK!

Those codec packs are for your OS so Windows Media Player (and some other players/converters/editors) can play "all" media types.

K-Lite Codec Pack seems very popular but I personally prefer and advise Shark007's FREE Codecs (Advanced Codecs).

Setup and Usage Shark007's Free Standard/Advanced Codecs (and a solution for every problem you may ever encounter)!

PS: K-Lite Codec Pack once managed to break a XP and 7 install, never used it again after that...

Greets!
