My office email program is Outlook 2007. 2007?! I just checked this under the Help Tab About Outlook..

Lately my email has been 'thinking' a bit too much, as in when I move from one email to another email the system often "hangs" before opening the second email.

I have deleted old emails, emptied my delete file, yet this has not helped. My In Box currently shows 962 items so that's hardly overflowing. Junk email box had just 501 items and I've just cleaned that out.

We have an outside IT consultant. he asked me if our email is IMap based. If it is, it has been for years. But it has worked reasonably well until most recently.

I thought maybe the program itself may be outdated, being v2007.

Thanks for any help!
