Hi,

Can somebody please let me know why I get some websites and not others?  I have been trying off and on today to get into certain websites without success.  I get the waiting period and then a silly face with the statement ' This site cannot be reached;website took too long to respond'.

Many thanks for any help.  I am going a bit mad here!

What browser are you running?

Does this happen with other browsers?

Have you tried closing the browser and then reopen it?

What antivirus are you using?

Does this happen mostly right after you have cold-posted/booted up the computer?  I'm asking because I too get that silly face/no access until I click on each "no access" tab and reload, then all is ok.

I use Chrome browser as I always do.  Haven't tried others.  I use Avast antivirus and have been for some time.  Will try other browsers to see if there is a difference.

Thank you for your suggestion.

It happens anytime but only just recently.  Moved house a couple of weeks ago. Would that have any influence do you think?

Did you change your ISP?

Did you change your ISP?

No.  Today seems fine though.  I am hoping we just had a bad internet day yesterday.

Thank you.

I guess this will have to be a wait and see situation.
