I am hiring a personal assistant and am providing her with a tablet.  I need to have remote access to her computer so I can get on it and train her and add things to her computer.  I used to use logmein.  Does anyone have any advice on a good way to go about this?  I prefer free of course.  I would also like to be able to transfer files on her computer.

Google Remote Desktop - popular where I work, people seem to like it. It's free.

Team Viewer - free for "personal use"

As Gorbulan had said TeamViewer is amazing.

I use TV and it's free for "Personal/Non-Commercial" use.

it includes the file transfer as you want. and the password(unless set up otherwise) changes each time you use it.

Zoho Assist is also free and browser based. No plug ins needed!

I also like GoogleRD but can be glitchy at times.
