this is a dell optiplex 780 mini tower motherboard oc27vv , i have been looking at the q9650 3.0 dual processor . will it work with this motherboard or not, from what i was able to find out is that it will. i just would like to make sure before buying it and installing it and it fry my motherboard. thanks in advance

to help with the games that my grandson plays on origin, most of them use 4 cores . i'm not looking to buy a new computer at this time so i will make this one good enough for now.
