My computer was destroyed by Microsofts "blue screen of death".The auto repair program didn't work. Does anyone know what "critical process died" means? Is it the main processor or the hard drive that failed?

Some additional info. I have a Gateway dx4870 with the i 3 processor. 1 tb hd and 6 gb ram, and windows 8.1. It worked flawlesssly for 2 years. Then I started getting messages to upgrade for free to windows 10. I ignored them. Then about 2 weks before the end of the free upgrade, someone tried to forcibly install windows 10 on my computer. I had no control so I pulled the plug. About 2 weeks later  a message came up that said "critical process died". And up comes the blue screen of death. I tried all the repair options, but none worked except the complete wipe of the hard drive. The only thing left on the desktop was internet explorer and the trash bin. But that only lasted 10 days and up comes the bsod again. This time nothing worked. This very nice computer was destroyed by Microsofts OS.

This is a very generic error message.  It simply says that a critical process died (so Windows couldn't keep running).
Figuring out "why" is what we'll need to do.

If you're able to get into Windows, Please run this report collecting tool so that we can provide a complete analysis: (from the pinned topic at the top of the forum)   http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/
FYI - I don't often use the Perfmon report, so if it doesn't work please just let me know.
NOTE:  On problem systems it can take up to 20 minutes for the log files to complete.  Please be patient and let it run.

If you still have problems with it running, there's an alternate tool here (direct download link):  https://github.com/blueelvis/BSOD-Inspector/releases/download/1.0.5/BSODInspector-1.0.5.exe

NOTE:
Please zip up the (.ZIP) files - do not use .RAR or other compression utilities.
.ZIP is the type file that can be uploaded to the forums.

If you're not able to get into Windows, can you get into the Startup Repair stuff?

Do you have recovery media (so you can reinstall Windows)?

Do you need to backup your data?

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
