I'm staying with a friend and my pc has been connected to the wifi since Monday. A short while ago it lost connection and won't reconnect.

I've restarted the router and the pc but it still won't connect. My phone connects so the problem is my pc not the router.

Any suggestions on how to remedy this issue?

As always, thanks!

The diagnostic on the pic says that the default gateway is not available

What does that mean?

It would mean you  are getting a auto assigned ip address since you can't reach the dhcp server in the router.

My suggestion would be to connect wired to the router and download xirrus wifi inspector and post a screen shot of what it sees for wifi access points.

Another important update "Change your mode from 802.11g" to 802.11.

802.11 connects to all devices.Highly Recommended
