I am using an MSI GE72 2QF Apache Pro laptop with Windows 10. Recently, the computer started acting up, and I keep finding 11b1.ink viruses with my IObit scanner, but when I go to the source of the shortcut, it's a mshta file in my systems32 folder. I had a bunch of popups the other day while trying to find a streaming video website to watch a TV series on, and one of them said I had a virus, blah blah blah. But I had an incredibly hard time closing the window; I had to pull up the Task Manager and end it. So now, I've got a major lag issue, and I'm trying to figure out what to do. I check my startup items frequently with IObit Advanced SystemCare, and three new startup items exist that were not there before. 11b1, bafa, and bafa. I don't know if I should disable them, or what I can do to get rid of them. But I am pretty sure they are the issue. I recently downloaded Avira and Symantec Endpoint Protection to try and find any stuff that my Advanced SystemCare Ultimate Pro and IObit Malware Fighter might not be getting. But I haven't found anything yet. I'm currently doing a scan. Right now, my Malware fighter found yet another 11b1.ink virus. I've had way too many of them.

And I'm back to counting on this forum because I was using a different one, but turns out I just get mocked for not knowing how to do these tasks, and then afterward I couldn't post any more replies. So, I guess that's how they help, make fun of you, and then the website conveniently begins to glitch. I don't really know, but, I do know I'm not an IT person. So, a heads up to anyone who may or may not help me. I use the laptop for simple things; I'm not an IT girl.

Also, here's some updates:

I've recently tried running Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware. Just doing stuff some guy named Griff posted about on another forum. But that didn't help. And apparently Speccy makes logs that are cleaner and easier to read. Idk what people prefer. I just want help. -_-

Hi Stefahknee :)

My name is polskamachina and I would like to welcome you to the Malware Removal Forum. I will be helping you with your malware issues.

What follows below are some ground rules for this forum.

I will reply as soon as possible (typically within 24-48 hours). In turn, I ask that you please respond within 72 hours. If you know you will be away longer than that, please let me know. I am in California at GMT-7 hours (Pacific Standard Time). If I do not respond to you within 48 hours, feel free to send me a private message.

Some points for you to keep in mind:

  • Do NOT run any tools unless instructed to do so.
  • We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine. Running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, cause unforeseen damage, or system instability.
  • Do not attach logs or use code boxes, just copy and paste the text.
  • I cannot see your computer. Periodically update me on the condition of your computer, and provide as much detail as you can in every post.
  • Once things seem to be working again, please do not abandon the thread. I will give an "all-clean" message at the very end.
  • NOTE: Backup any files that cannot be replaced. Removing malware can be unpredictable and this step can save a lot of heartaches if things don't go as planned. You can put them on a CD/DVD, external drive or a flash drive, anywhere except on the computer.
  • NOTE: It is good practice to copy and paste the instructions into notepad and print them in case it is necessary for you to go offline during the cleanup process. Please remember to copy the entire post so you do not miss any instructions.

I'm sorry your previous request for help wasn't so pleasant. Please give me some time to review your situation and I will get back to you with further instructions.

Hi Stefahknee :)

Let's get started with the diagnostics. The following procedure will gather the necessary information for me to analyze your system.

Please download the 64-bit version of Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

  • Right-click FRST then select Run as administrator
  • When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Make sure the box for Addition.txt is checked
  • Click the Scan button.
  • When finished it will create two logs, FRST.txt  and Addition.txt in the same folder from which the tool was run.
  • Please copy and paste those logs into your next reply to me

In summary I will need from you:

  • FRST.txt
  • Addition.txt

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Stefahknee :)

It's been a while since you've checked in. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need me to clarify any of the instructions. I believe we can get your computer back in good running order. However If you do not reply to this topic within 48 hours, it will be closed.
