My question is about photo's. I sell on ebay full time, I used to have a mac years ago when I used iphoto for my work. Then I went with a PC for about 5 years. Now back to macbook.

What I need to do is when my pictures upload to the computer I need them to have a date that they were taken instead of the numbering that it does on my canon 40D.

My first macbook. I would use iphoto and make a new folder or something but somehow I got the images to have a date on them.

My windows computer did that automatically, it would prompt me to add whatever name I wanted to the photos at the time of upload, which was nice and easy.

My new mac is a mess. I hate the new photo program on here. I take A LOT of photo's each day for ebay and I upload them to my computer and then to a third party where I list my items. After 6 years some of my photo's have the same number and that causes problems with ebay. I have over 5000 items on ebay and at least 12 pics of each item.

Sometimes I will take several sets of pictures and when I do that I can't even see them in that photos as just uploaded. I have to make a folder to my desktop and copy and past just so I can see them when I upload them to my third party.

Is there a program I can get that doesn't cost a bunch of money to help me change the number on the photo to a date when I upload to my computer. I wish I could still use iphoto, I hate this new photo thing.

Thanks so much!!

Michelle
