Hello, my MalwareBytes Anti-Malware program gets stuck on "checking for updates".  I can still run a scan if I click "skip update" but I'd like to keep the program updated.  Can anyone help me fix this problem?  Thanks.

Hello clefty123:

Barring a damaged Windows system and/or MBAM installation, a very small number of MBAM users have recently reported similar experiences.  Please consider opening your own topic in the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware sub-forum within the Malwarebytes' support forum.

Within your own separate topic there, and with the aid of a system Administrator's command prompt, please post your results via a screen grab of the following:

nslookup data-cdn.mbamupdates.com

and

ping data-cdn.mbamupdates.com

Thank you.

All viruses are malware but not all malware are viruses and if the malware doesn't self replicate it just isn't a virus.
