I'll start by saying that I am not computer literate.  When I click my start button I can no longer see any programs and the only item now on my taskbar is my file folder.  This first happened after the last Windows update 10/2/16.  I restored the computer to a prior date and all was fine until ? it updated again?  Virus?

Edit: Moved topic from Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Update:  I followed your steps for removing the FakeHDD Rogue virus, Rkill, MBam, Malware and unhidden programs.  I now have my programs and taskbar icons back, but all of my photos are still missing which makes me wonder what else is not there.  I will also say that nothing was found with after running Malware.
