Hi all,

I am newbie to the forum and trying to get information on ransomware.  My files were recently encrypt by some variant of ransomware

I had no clue there are so many variants of the ransomware and was hoping someone could help me identify the variant which  i  am infected .

My file names, ext  or size were not changed but the file modify dates were all changed date i got infected and it seems only files  in  my account  profile are encrypted .   When i boot my PC i can log on windows but received pop-up msg . see below msg

Any idea what type ransonware this is any clues how to decrpt my files ?

any help would certainly be appreciated

Write down the information to notebook (excercise book!) and reboot the computer.

- 1 - What happened to your files?

All of your files were protected by a strong encryption with RSA-4096
More information about the encryption RSA-4096 can be found here: http://en.wikiDedia.orQ/wiki/RSA (cryptosystem)

- 2 - How did this happen?

Specially for your PC was generated personal RSA4096 key, both public and private.

ALL YOUR FILES were encrypted with the public key, which has been transferred to your computer via the Internet. Decrypting of your files is only possible with the help of the private key and decrypt program, which is on our secret server

- 3 - What do I do?

So , there are two ways you can choose: wait for a _miracle_ and get _your_ PRICE DOUBLED! Or start obtaining *BITCOIN NOW! , and restore _YOUR_ _DATA_ easy way If You have really valuable _DATA_, you better _NOT_ _WASTE_ _YOUR_ _TIME_, because there is _NO_ other way to get your files, except make a _PAYMENT_

Upload an encrypted file and the ransom note to the service in my signature, ID Ransomware. It will identify it.

The wording looks like CrypMic, which I'm afraid is not decryptable.

There is an ongoing discussion in this topic where you can ask questions and seek further assistance. Other victims have been directed there to share information, experiences and suggestions.Rather than have everyone with individual topics, it would be best (and more manageable for staff) if you posted any more questions, comments or requests for assistance in the above support topic discussion...it includes experiences by experts, a variety of IT consultants, end users and company reps who have been affected by ransomware infections. To avoid unnecessary confusion, this topic is closed.
