Hi! I hope that this is the right category for my thread, I'm not sure, but if it isn't you can move it.

I think everyone knows how popular these Encore tablets are (don't know why it is popular, I bought it because I need a "decent" device for when I leave home, at least 5x better than a Toshiba Satteliye A200-1MB, which is) and I know that there is a way to install Android on these things, as I saw on XDA forums, but I didn't really understand how things went, so I will post it here, because I'm no pro at Linux.

Don't bother explaining me how to boot from a Linux bootable image using this tablet, I know how to do it.

What I need help with is installing Android Linux on the tablet, as it's more lightweight than Windows 8 and better designed to work with tablets. Do I need a custom ROM for it? There are no custom ROMs for this, at least I don't know about them. Where can I find a bootable image of Linux Android, one that transfers the image to the integrated monitor, not an external one (again, saw the problem on XDA)?
