is the order of equation.

Because you work left to right. PEMDAS is not a strict rule it is a guide to equation.

Here's the best way I can explain it...
You read negative numbers, you do not subtract positive.

Sooo....
6 - 1 x 0 + 2 / 2 =
6 - (1 x 0) + ( 2 / 2) =
6 - 0 + 1 =
6 + (-0 + 1) =
6 + 1 = 7

which is handy when you start looking at longer sums like
7 - 6 + 2 - 3 + 6 - 4 =
7 + -6 + 2 + -3 + 6 + -4 = (not: 7 - 8 - 9 - 4 = )
(7 + -6) + (2 + -3) + (6 + -4) =
1 + -1 + 2 = 2
Now we are the envy of every 10 year old and part of the 1%.
