Windows 10 just updated to Ver. 1607.  Shortly after the Windows update I tried to update LibreOffice Suite from 5.1.4 to 5.1.5.

I got the familiar User Account Control pop-up asking if I wanted to allow this app to make changes to my device.  I selected "Yes."

The update begins, but then halts.  I get another pop-up saying:  "Error 1303.  The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory:

  C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 5\program

The installation cannot continue.  Log on as an administrator or contact your system administrator."

If I try to "Retry" it fails again.  The only option is to "Cancel" which means LibreOffice isn't updated.

This is a single-user machine (mine) and my account was created with Admin privileges.  It started as Windows 7, but I've had no problems installing/updating software under Windows 10 until this update.

Can anyone advise me on how to regain Admin privileges?  I'm sharper on Linux than Windows -- I have three Linux boxes and only this one Windows box, but I do need it for a couple of Windows only programs I need.  I really dislike Windows, and Microsoft continues to fail to impress me.

Thanks for any help!

Son of a gun!  Yep, I have a Brother printer.  Opening taskmanager and manually killing all Brother processes allowed the update!

I don't know how long I would have searched to find that!  Thanks!
